A technical conversation with the developer about the OpsWatch app!
The OpsWatch mobile application, specially developed for the AirArabia team, has now been launched, marking a new era in managing flight operations. To learn more about the processes behind this project, we asked the Crocusoft team a few questions:
What is OpsWatch?
We developed the OpsWatch project for Air Arabia, one of the most prominent airline companies in the region, located in the United Arab Emirates. Through the OpsWatch mobile application, airline staff can monitor in real time when flights are scheduled, taking place, or delayed. This system increases transparency and efficiency in managing flight operations.
What were the main challenges during development?
One of the key challenges during the development process was ensuring real-time data flow. Since flight data changes frequently, it was crucial to maintain data accuracy and deliver it to users without delay. Additionally, integration with systems of different airports, managing time zones, and maintaining the same level of performance on both iOS and Android platforms posed certain technical difficulties.
What technologies were used to build OpsWatch?
Our team used React Native and TypeScript in the development of the OpsWatch app. React Native allows us to build applications for both iOS and Android from a single codebase. TypeScript enhances code stability, helps catch errors early, and provides a more readable development environment.
What makes OpsWatch different?
OpsWatch offers a unique solution in its field. Flight-related data is presented with visual schedules, real-time graphs, and category-based views.
